The boundary
What Nymphine means by nymph.
Nymph is a Greek word, but the old impulse is broader: named presences of water, trees, mountains, caves, and weather.
Classical roots, northern shadow.
The Greek and Roman figures are nymphs in a direct historical sense. The Norse figures are handled as analogues: wave-maidens and forest beings that perform a similar mythic function without being forced into the wrong category.
Their common ground is not costume or category, but presence: iron water, ritual quiet, hidden groves, and old landscape pressure.
